Professional Background: As an opera singer, Mary traveled all over the world working and studying with some of the greatest musicians of our generation. She became a Realtor in 2004. People might wonder how a person trained as a musician becomes a realtor. Think of the old joke, “How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice!” It is that dedication, hard work and consistent attention to the ever changing market place that both inspires and drives Mary to excellence.
Personal Background: A Chicago native, Mary Petro came to Connecticut to attend Yale University and fell in love with the beauty and rich cultural life of Fairfield County. Mary had always dreamed of living near the water and finds her beach house in Fairfield to be the perfect combination of relaxed beach living and convenience to the city. Mary remains an active member of the arts community and performs regularly with the Metropolitan Opera in NYC. Mary combines her passion for homes and community as a dedicated volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
A fact you might not know about Mary: Mary loves to travel and just returned from Japan where she toured with the Metropolitan Opera. Next stop: Greece and Turkey!
